A Grand Opening Ceremony for Eton College
A landmark chapter began on 20th July 2023 with the Grand Opening Ceremony of Eton College. Graced by
an esteemed Chief Guest, the event commenced with an auspicious ribbon-cutting and traditional rituals
blessing the school's journey. The ceremony was a beautiful blend of vision and culture, featuring the school
anthem, inspiring speeches, and captivating performances. It was a proud day that set the foundation for
Eton College's mission to nurture future leaders, concluding on a note of great hope and celebration
A Memorable Journey of Faith at Eton College
Eton College created a deeply spiritual and engaging experience with its very first Hajj Programme, themed
"Hajj, A Journey of Faith." Held on 29th May 2025, the event brought the sacred pilgrimage to life for our
students. From our youngest learners in Nursery and Grade 1 symbolically performing Tawaf and stoning
the Jamarat, to intricate student-made models of holy sites like Mina, Arafat, and the Kaaba, the campus was
transformed. The sight of students in Ihram and their creative displays made this a truly memorable day,
beautifully blending faith, learning, and enthusiasm.
Eton College Honours Its New Prefects
The Eton College auditorium was filled with a sense of pride and promise during the Investiture Ceremony
on 12th August 2025. This dignified event marked the inauguration of a new student leadership body,
celebrating the beginning of a chapter dedicated to service and responsibility. The ceremony included the
presentation of batch rewards, inspiring addresses, and the formal commissioning of the prefects. It was a
memorable day that honoured student achievement and ignited a spirit of leadership across the school
community.
Eton College Marks 77th Independence Day with Pride and Patriotism
On February 3rd, 2025, the Eton College auditorium resonated with national pride as we celebrated our 77th
Independence Day. Our auditorium became a vibrant stage for unity, reflection, and proud celebration.
The event shone with inspiring speeches and heartfelt patriotic performances by our students, each act
echoing the values of freedom and progress. We were honoured by the presence of distinguished guests who
joined us in commemorating this significant day.
The morning stood as a powerful testament to our community's spirit, creativity, and deep-rooted national
pride, a truly memorable celebration that left everyone inspired and united in purpose.
A Spiritual Celebration of Milad Un-Nabi
Eton College observed Milad-un-Nabi with profound devotion and reverence on 4th September 2025. The
auditorium was filled with peace and blessings as students honoured the life and teachings of Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH). The programme featured heartfelt recitations, graceful Arabic dances, and
enlightening speeches about the Prophet's legacy. The soulful renditions of Qaseedas and Salawat created a
deeply spiritual atmosphere, leaving everyone with valuable guidance and a refreshed sense of faith and
kindness.
Eton Celebrates the Vibrant Sinhala Tamil New Year
Eton College recently celebrated the vibrant Sinhala & Tamil New Year in a grand event held on Saturday,
26th April 2025. The Al Hijra School grounds came alive from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM with the joyful
participation of students, teachers, and parents. The celebration was graced by the presence of our
distinguished Chairman and special guests, creating a truly festive atmosphere. The air was filled with
excitement as everyone took part in traditional games and cultural activities, making it a perfect day of unity,
joy, and cherished traditions. It was a beautiful reflection of our community's spirit, fostering bonds and
creating lasting memories for all.
